Veterans Memorial Hall at the Duluth Depot is in need of volunteers to conduct interviews with the area’s military service veterans. The St. Louis County Historical Society will conduct a training session Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including a complimentary lunch.
Volunteers will learn the background of the oral history program, the importance of the recordings and how to properly conduct an interview with a veteran.
The oral histories preserve stories for generations to come. Completed interviews are transcribed and stored in the Albert J. Amatuzio Research Center at the Duluth Depot. For information or to reserve a spot, contact Pippi Mayfield at pippi@thehistorypeople.org or (218) 733-7507.
