Visit Duluth director appointed to state council

The executive director of Duluth’s tourism bureau has been named to a statewide tourism board.
Anna Tanski, who has led Visit Duluth since February 2014, was appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton to the Explore Minnesota Tourism Council, the governor’s office announced.
Her term begins Saturday and expires on Jan. 6, 2020.
Tanski was appointed as the convention facilities representative on the council.
Before being promoted to CEO, Tanski previously had served as sales director for Visit Duluth and before then as sales director at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center before that.
