A 65-year-old Virginia woman suffered injuries when her vehicle drove off Rice Lake Road in Gnesen Township Saturday evening.
Linda Lou Larson was driving northbound on Rice Lake Road near Carey Road when her vehicle crossed the southbound lane and struck a tree in the ditch.
St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Gnesen first responders and other medical personnel arrived at the scene quickly. Larson, the only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth with what the Sheriff’s Office reported as non-life-threatening injuries
The accident, which was reported at 7:15 p.m., may have been caused by the driver being tired, the report noted.
