Forrest Dean King of Virginia is in a medically induced coma, in critical condition at Miller-Dwan Medical Center with severe burns on his legs, his mother, Mabelline Anderson, said Wednesday.
King, 21, was found Monday morning lying naked in the middle of a Virginia street with burns to more than 50 percent of his body.
Investigators found a liquor bottle containing gasoline on the scene.
They arrested a 38-year-old man later that day. Authorities said the suspect is expected to be officially charged in the case today.
