The body of a 20-year-old Virginia man who was reported overdue from a fishing trip Saturday night was found early Sunday in a Cook County stream.
The Cook County Sheriff's Department said Victor Torrel's body was found about 5:30 Sunday morning. He had been reported overdue from his trip at about 8:30 Saturday night.
Torrel had been fishing in the Cascade River just west of Grand Marais. Cook County Sheriff Mark Falk said Monday in a press release that the cause of death appears to be accidental drowning and foul play is not suspected.
