GLYNDON, Minn. — Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to visit a farm near Glyndon on Thursday, May 9, according to a White House official.
The stop will be part of a visit to Minnesota during which Pence plans to promote the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. The trade deal needs approval from Congress in order to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement that the three countries reached in 1994.
As part of his Minnesota trip, Pence is slated to visit R & J Johnson Farms near Glyndon in Clay County. He's expected to tour the facility and chat with farmers about how the new trade deal will benefit Minnesota farmers.
Pence is also scheduled to visit St. Paul and appear at Gerdau Ameristeel where he will tour the mill and speak to employees, the White House official said.
