The Northland Veterans Service Committee will sponsor a Veterans Day event on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The Veterans Day parade begins at 9:45 a.m. at the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot), 506 W. Michigan St. All veterans are invited to participate. Veterans are encouraged to park at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Parking is free for the event.
Take one of the free DTA buses from there to the Depot. Buses begin running from the DECC to the Depot at 9:15 a.m.
The public is encouraged to express support for veterans by lining the parade route, which runs up Fifth Avenue West, east along Superior Street, south along Lake Avenue arriving at the DECC at 10:45 a.m.
The City of Duluth Veterans Day ceremony begins 11 a.m. at the Great Lakes Ballroom at the DECC. Over 600 sixth-graders from Duluth will participate in honoring local veterans.

This event marks the 96th anniversary of the end of World War I, which ended on Nov. 11, 1918 at 11 a.m.
