Vernon and Dea Aune 50th wedding anniversary

Vernon and Dea Aune, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Superior, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a golden anniversary party at the Elks Club in Superior and will celebrate with friends and neighbors in Greensboro later this month.

Vernon and Dea Aune, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Superior, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a golden anniversary party at the Elks Club in Superior and will celebrate with friends and neighbors in Greensboro later this month.

Vernon and the former Dea Ball were married Aug. 30, 1957, in Superior.

Their children are David Aune of Phoenix, Md.; Darren and Nancy Aune of Champlin, Minn.; Margaret Aune and Tina Lundell of Portland, Ore.; and Wayne and Lola Aune of Superior. They have six grandchildren.

Vernon is retired from Donald Holm Construction in Duluth and Pella Window Corp. of Greensboro. Dea is a retired special education teacher from the Superior and Greensboro school districts. The Aunes spend a month each summer in the Superior and Lake Nebagamon areas.
