A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a van in Hibbing Monday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the pedestrian was hit in the right lane of westbound U.S. Highway 169 near Eighth Avenue East at 7:19 p.m. The road was icy at the time, the State Patrol reported.
The names of the pedestrian and the driver of the van have not been released. According to the State Patrol, more information will be released late tonight.
