The Center for First Nations Studies and the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Superior are seeking American Indian high school students to exhibit their artwork at UWS's eighth annual American Indian Art Scholarship Exhibit.
The exhibit showcases artwork created by Indian ninth through 12th-grade students from Wisconsin and Minnesota, and runs March 5-28 in the Kruk Gallery of UWS's Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center. Participating juniors and seniors are eligible to compete for a $1,000 scholarship to UWS.
Students can submit up to two pieces in any medium for the exhibit. Items must be ready to exhibit. Deadline for submission is February 19. Details and applications are available online at www.uwsuper.edu/oma/NAAS . Artwork for the exhibit will be selected by a jury of UW-Superior art faculty.
