UWS events honor American Indian Heritage Month

The University ofWisconsin-Superior celebrates American Indian Heritage Month with dance demonstrations, storytelling, crafts and a history presentation.

The University ofWisconsin-Superior celebrates American Indian Heritage Month with dance demonstrations, storytelling, crafts and a history presentation.

Events include a traditional powwow from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Kathryn Ohman Theater, McCaskill Hall; an arts and crafts fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Rothwell Student Center; "Thanksgiving Day Talk: A Native Perspective" given by assistant professor Gary Johnson at noon Nov. 20 in Rothwell Student Center, Room 112; and stories from Lakota storyteller Connie Burditt from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Multicultural Center in Old Main.
