The Duluth Transit Authority will stop accepting token fares on January 1.

The DTA discontinued sales of tokens in 200,5 when fares were increased and a new electronic fare collection system in-troduced. At the time, the DTA said that token would eventually be phased out.

The DTA will not redeem tokens for cash. However, the cash value of tokens can be transferred to a fare card at the DTA Operations Center at 2402 W. Michigan St. during weekday business hours.
