The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southern Itasca County until 8:45 p.m.
At 7:54 p.m., radar indicated a storm capable of producing quarter-size hail. The storm was located seven miles north of Cohasset, or about 11 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, moving south at 20 mph.
The storm has a history of radar-indicated rotation, and prompted an earlier tornado warning. That warning has expired.
The storm will be near Cohasset by 8:15 p.m.; and Grand Rapids and La Prairie by 8:20 p.m.
