Water service will be shut down above Fourth Street just south of the UMD campus beginning at 4 p.m. today so repairs can be made to a 16-inch water main that burst this afternoon.
The break is in the area of 19th Avenue East and Eighth Street. The shutdown will affect residents from 17th to 34th Avenues East and from Fourth Street to UMD. The shutdown, which may also affect areas near those listed above, is expected to last approximately eight hours.
