Authorities are continuing to follow up on tips in the search for a missing 13-year-old Barron County girl.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald is asking anyone who noticed changes in behavior in the people around them, such as missing work or commitments or recent travel, to contact law enforcement because they may not know they could have information regarding the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the tipline at 1-855-744-3879.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with state and federal law enforcement in the search for Jayme, according to Fitzgerald’s update on Tuesday morning. Authorities are following up on every tip they receive, including a tip that she was possibly sighted in Miami on Monday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call from a cell phone at 1268 Highway 8 at about 1 a.m. Monday. Deputies found the two dead adults, identified as husband and wife James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, when they arrived on the scene. Jayme is not a suspect, according to Fitzgerald. He hasn’t released any details about what took place at the house, citing the open investigation. The cause of death of Jayme’s parents hasn’t been released. Fitzgerald said on Tuesday that the 911 call was unusual because no one made contact with a dispatcher, but the dispatcher could hear a “disturbance” going on in the background.
