It appears that Melanie Ford will be the next St. Louis County Attorney.
Unofficial results of a recount shows that Ford had 88 more votes than ncumbent Alan Mitchell.
Vote totals after the Nov. 7 election left Ford 53 votes behind Mitchell. Ford requested the recount, which began last week.
The recount found 40,019 votes for Ford, 39,931 for Mitchell.

Results of the recount will not be final until the canvassing board meets Wednesday.
