UMD honors alums and friends

James Doughan, a 1981 graduate in theater who is now a successful actor and screenwriter, and Dr. Robert Kase, a 1973 graduate in music education who is now a composer and trumpet artist who has played around the world, were honored for demonstrating "success and passion in their chosen professions and contributed to the success of UMD School of Fine Arts programs," according to UMD.

Also honored were Beverly Goldfine, a philanthropist and member of UMD's Tweed Museum of Art's advisory board; and Dennis Lamkin, vice president and senior national property manager of US Bank Corporate Real Estate and president of the Glensheen Advisory Council, which has worked to preserve the Glensheen estate.
