The North Central Conference has named two Minnesota Duluth volleyball members as players of the week.
The conference today named Sarah Wyffels as offensive player of the week and Katie Gangelhoff as setter of the week. In addition, UMD player Crystal Hoffrogger was nominated as defensive player of the week.
Wyffels, a sophomore middle blocker from Marshall, Minn., hit .449 and averaged 4.17 kills per game as UMD moved to 8-0 in league play with sweeps over Minnesota State-Mankato and North Dakota.
Gangelhoff, a junior setter from South St. Paul averaged 17.00 kills per game as UMD won matches against Minnesota State-Mankato and St. Cloud State.
