Two 17-year-old boys were arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion that they participated in an attempted burglary of the K&B Drive-in in Eveleth on Saturday night, according to a report from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
Officers from the sheriff's office responded to a report of a burglary at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. They found signs that someone had gained entry to the business, setting off an alarm, but nothing appeared to be taken. Sheriff's deputies were assisted on the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol and officers from several other police departments, including Eveleth, Gilbert and Biwabik.
At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a sheriff's deputy stopped a vehicle and discovered evidence believed to link two young men to the K&B burglary. They were arrested and remained in detention Sunday awaiting formal charges.
