Two people were killed in a rollover crash Saturday along a town road in Burnett County, authorities reported Monday.

The Burnett County Sheriff's Office reported that Jorden Otis, 19, of Grantsburg, and Joel Rauchbauer, 19, of Frederic, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Wood Lake Road near South Williams Road, about 3 miles southeast of Grantsburg.

The sheriff's office reported that deputies responded to the crash just after 7 a.m. Saturday.

"Preliminary investigation indicated that a 2007 Saturn Aura travelling on Wood Lake Road left the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver and partially ejecting the passenger," the sheriff's office reported. "Neither was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash."

No further details on the crash were released Monday. The investigation and crash reconstruction remained underway, the sheriff's office said.
