Two people were airlifted to a Duluth hospital Sunday following a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Floodwood.
Hope Sweeter, 18, of Moose Lake, and John Bennett, 22, of Bovey, were transported to St. Luke’s hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the 1997 Chevy Blazer that Sweeter was driving lost control and rolled into a ditch along Minnesota Highway 73, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. Both were listed in fair condition Monday.
The accident occurred about four miles south of Floodwood, near the corner of Clark Road, at 2:50 p.m. Sweeter and Bennett were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the State Patrol said.
Floodwood police and deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
