Two people were injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a minivan near Babbitt on Saturday afternoon.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported that Susan Fetterer, 67, of Plymouth, Minn., was traveling eastbound on County Highway 21 at about 1:15 p.m. when she attempted to turn left onto northbound Highway 21 at Conservation Club Road.
Fetterer's minivan collided with a westbound motorcycle operated by Dewi Webb, 35, of Eau Claire, Wis. Webb and a passenger, Tiffany Webb, 36, also of Eau Claire, were ejected from the motorcycle. Both were transported to Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office reported. Dewi Webb was later airlifted to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Fetterer was not injured. The crash remains under investigation. The Babbitt police and fire departments and Ely Ambulance responded to the scene.
