Two people suffered injuries in a head-on vehicle crash on the 2200 block of Glenwood Street near Jean Duluth Road on Wednesday evening, according to Duluth Fire Department officials.
The collision was reported at 8:18 p.m. When emergency personnel arrived, one vehicle was on the side of the road while the other had gone off the road about 8 feet down an embankment into a wooded area, said Jim Ray, Duluth Fire Department assistant chief.
One man was found out of his vehicle lying in the ditch near the road, Ray said. He reportedly had a head injury and complained of hip and neck pain.
A man and two children were found inside their vehicle down the embankment and a door had to be pried open to get them out, Ray said. The man complained of neck pain while the children seemed to suffer only minor injuries, according to Ray. All were transported to Duluth hospitals for treatment.
