A fire in a single-family home displaced three people Tuesday afternoon in Superior, according to Superior Fire Department officials.

Firefighters were called at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and they found flames in the attic at 1107 Clough Ave., Superior Fire Department Battalion Chief Vern Johnson said. No one was injured in the blaze, and Johnson said he believes the cause was electrical. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

Superior firefighters also fought a semitrailer fire Tuesday night that caused about $40,000 in damage to the vehicle, Johnson said. That fire broke out just before 8 p.m. as the trailer was parked at Sue Vinje Trucking at

2826 Winter St. A driver had just pulled into the yard, Johnson said, but no one was injured. The cause of that fire is unknown, but Johnson said it probably was fuel- or electric-related.
