A Canadian truck driver accused of slashing 25 tires in a Superior bar's parking lot after being forced to leave the establishment faces one felony charge of criminal damage to property.
A criminal complaint against Todd Alexander Wood, 37, of Ontario was filed Monday in Douglas County Circuit Court; he has not made an appearance.
According to the complaint, 25 tires on 12 different vehicles were slashed early Sunday outside the bar. The bar owner indicated he thought a man, who had been irritating customers and was escorted out of the bar an hour earlier was responsible. The man later was seen at another area bar and a nearby gas station.
Superior police officers found Wood in his truck at the nearby gas station. He had a cut finger, according to the complaint, and a knife with blood stains and possible tire residue on it was found.
Prints in the snow around one of the cars matched the sole of Wood's tennis shoes, and video taken of the exterior of the bar showed a man who looked much like Wood slashing tires, the complaint stated.

The incident caused an estimated $3,600 worth of damage.
If convicted, Wood faces a maximum penalty of up to three years and six months in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
