Duluth-bound traffic on the Blatnik Bridge was moving slow this morning due to a couple accidents.
"I think it's a two-car crash and a three-car crash on the Wisconsin side," Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Quint Stainbrook said. "It doesn't sound like there's any injuries involved."
"Other than that, the rest of the roads are pretty quiet in the Duluth area," Stainbrook said. "We did have a couple spin-outs down in Carlton [County] and three or four down in Pine [County], but nothing serious."
Near Alexandria, parts of Interstate 94 near here were closed Monday morning after an accident involving two tractor-trailers that left one driver dead and U.S. mail scattered all over the highway.
The State Patrol said a truck carrying U.S. mail was driving east when it rolled just before 2:30 a.m., blocking both eastbound lanes between Alexandria and Osakis. Its driver, Steven Moderow, 45, of Fargo, N.D., was killed.

The Patrol said the second tractor-trailer, which was transporting cars, then struck the first semitrailer broadside.
Crews worked midmorning to clean up the mail.
A patrol dispatcher said the eastbound lanes of I-94 re-opened about noon. Traffic was routed around the crash.
