Work is proceeding on road projects in the Lester Park area of eastern Duluth, with the Lester River bridge re-opening to traffic over Labor Day weekend. Nearby, city crews also are working on Seven Bridges Road, rebuilding and ditching the road in preparation for new culverts and a fresh paving in the next few weeks.

Bridge open to traffic again — Cars cross the Lester River bridge on London Road on Tuesday. Much of the bridge construction is finished. Minor work remains, including completion of the stone facade on the north side of the bridge. (Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com)
