An intersection next to Essentia Health’s downtown Duluth campus will be closed to traffic for several weeks starting Tuesday at the corner of Second Street and Sixth Avenue East. Traffic through the intersection is expected to resume some time during the week of Nov. 22.

Ahead of this closure, Fifth Avenue East will reopen to accommodate traffic through the area, as work continues on Essentia Health's $900 million Vision Northland project.

While the Sixth Avenue East intersection remains closed, patient drop-off and pickup will require extra time at Essentia. Go to essentiahealth.org/alerts/essentia-health-downtown-duluth-parking to monitor current routes, parking and patient drop-off sites. Patients and visitors are urged to plan ahead to avoid late arrivals for any scheduled appointments.
