The city of Duluth is hosting a virtual public meeting at noon Monday to discuss pedestrian safety and accessibility along First Street.

The safety conversation will take place as city officials are exploring changing First Street from a one-way street to a two-way street between Mesaba Avenue and 24th Avenue East, according to a news release from the city.

City staff and members of the city's disabilities commission will be participating in the public meeting, which can be accessed at under the "planning and development public meetings" tab.
