The Lake Avenue Bridge project in Duluth will enter its final traffic control stage Thursday.

Under the final traffic control stage, those traveling south on Interstate 35 will be able to use the off-ramp and head south on Lake Avenue, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Those traveling north on Lake Avenue will also be able to access the northbound I-35 on-ramp.

Motorists traveling north on Lake Avenue will no longer be able to access the southbound I-35 on-ramp. The ramp from I-35 northbound to Lake Avenue southbound will also be closed. The work is expected to continue through late August.

Access to or from Superior Street remains closed due to the city of Duluth's Superior Street reconstruction project, which is expected to last until mid- or late July.
