The Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding two public meetings next week in Duluth about the upcoming Twin Ports Interchange — otherwise known as the 'can of worms' — project.

Two public meetings will be held at Clyde Iron Works on Monday where the public can ask questions about and provide feedback on the project. "Major project updates" will also be shared, according to a news release from MnDOT.

The two sessions will be held at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then later that same day from 6-7 p.m.

A 3D model of the project will be displayed at the meetings.

Construction is slated to start next spring on the project, and will last for several years. Replacing the interchange of Interstate 53, I-535 and U.S. Highway 53 will bring detours and road closures.
