An overhead sign structure installation project is scheduled for next week on southbound Minnesota Highway 33 at the roundabout near Interstate 35 in Cloquet. The work will likely take place Tuesday and Wednesday. The project was postponed this week due to bad weather.

The southbound right lane (north of the roundabout) will close Tuesday afternoon to allow delivery and assembly of the sign structure, said a Minnesota Department of Transportation news release on Friday.

Around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, both southbound lanes will close for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. This will allow for the installation of the sign structure that extends over the traffic lanes.

After installation of the structure, motorists will encounter southbound single lane closures while signs are installed on the structure.
