Tom and Charlotte Larson of Duluth will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 24 in Fredenberg Community Center, 5104 Fish Lake Road.
Tom and the former Charlotte Brown were married Feb. 21, 1958, at Bussac Army Base in France.
Their children are Rick and Jet Larson, John Larson, Dan Larson and Paul Larson and Patty Baldwin, all of Duluth, and Becky and Gil England of Highland, Utah. They have 10 children and one great-grandchild.
Tom retired from Glass Block in Duluth. Charlotte retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Duluth and from Pampered Chef.
Secret for staying married: "I have always said, 'My husband was here first and he will be there at the last, and the children were an interlude in the middle.' I have always tried not to live my life through my children, so I always keep my husband first and my children second. It worked for 50 years!"
