Toddler dies in Iron Range rollover crash

A 1-year-old boy died in a rollover on state Highway 135 in White Township south of Tower at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a vehicle driven by Morgan Michelle Skinner, 23, of Gilbert, was traveling north on Highway 135 when it drifted onto the right shoulder, overcorrected into the southbound lane and then overcorrected back into the northbound lane. That caused the vehicle to roll, striking some trees before coming to rest in the ditch, according to the State Patrol. Road conditions were dry at the time.
Skinner’s injuries were not life-threatening, and she was not transported to a medical facility, according to the State Patrol. She was wearing a seatbelt.
The boy, who has not been identified, was belted into the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to the State Patrol.
