The Krooks also are hosting Kim Meeder, co-founder of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Bend, Ore., for several events:
* Meeder will sign her books from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Miller Hill Mall. She is the author of "Hope Rising" and "Bridge Called Hope." A fundraiser from Thursday through April 21 will donate a percentage of people's purchases to the ranch if they ask for a voucher at the bookstore's sales counter.
* Meeder will be featured on Christian radio stations KDNW-FM 97.3 and KDNI-FM 90.5 at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
* Meeder will visit Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 52nd Avenue East and Colorado Street, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday for coffee and conversation.

* A fundraiser for Seeds of Hope Youth Ranch will be from 6:30-10 p.m. Friday at Two Harbors High School, 1640 Highway 2, Two Harbors. It includes a talk by Meeder, a silent auction and music. Admission is by donation.
* A potluck dinner will be from 4-5:30 p.m. April 21 at the Mary McDonald Center, 99 Edison Blvd., in Silver Bay, and will be followed by a 6 p.m. service of the Bay Area Vineyard Church at the same location. Meeder will be the guest speaker.
