Flags at Wisconsin National Guard armories, air bases and other facilities across the state will be lowered to half-staff today for Army Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Pionk.
Flags at the Minnesota state Capitol complex in St. Paul also will be lowered.
The resident of Eveleth, 30, was killed along with five fellow soldiers inSinsil, Iraq, on Jan. 9.
Visitation is today from 10 a.m. in Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church in Superior until the 11:30 a.m. Massof Christian Burial. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
