We are between systems today. Another low is approaching from the west, but won't quite get here until Friday afternoon. So expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies today with north winds taking hold, giving us highs near 80 and a 20 percent chance of storms this afternoon.
On Friday, the low pressure system keeps pushing eastward. It is also attached to a strong trough in the jet stream, which will enhance the strength of the storm. Lows Friday morning will be near 57 and highs around 78. We'll have a 40 percent chance of rain in the evening.
That chance will go to 60 percent overnight into Saturday morning. Storms could be severe, with high winds and heavy rain. Storms could last through the morning but start to taper off by the afternoon. Highs will be near 75.
On Sunday, a ridge in the jet stream starts to build in, and with northwest winds we'll have lows in the mid 50s and highs in the mid 70s with mostly sunny skies. Ridges mean high pressure and skies clearing out.
Make it a great day!
