Thursday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Cold and clear

TODAY: Expect plenty of sunshine, and arctic temperatures continue as we head into the afternoon. Highs will reach 2 above with north-northwest winds at 4-8 mph.

FRIDAY: A warm front will approach from the west, ushering in warmer weather and a chance of snow. Morning lows will be around minus 13, with highs near 11. Clouds will increase throughout the day and we'll see a 40 percent chance of snow into the afternoon. Accumulations will be about

1-3 inches through Saturday.

SATURDAY: Warmer air will continue to move into the area. Lows will be at 3 and highs near 15, with a 40 percent chance of morning snow showers.

SUNDAY: The cold front associated with the low will send temperatures plummeting, with lows will be near minus 12 and highs around 1. Expect mostly sunny skies.
