Wind chill advisories already have been issued for all of the Northland as wind chill values approach minus 25 to minus 35 by noon today.
Attention then shifts to the next system affecting the area Friday and Saturday. Widespread snow is possible, with significant snow accumulations possible south of U.S. Highway 2 in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Higher totals are possible from lingering lake-effect snow Saturday night and Sunday for snowbelt areas of northern Wisconsin.
