Expect overcast skies this afternoon because of easterly winds and a wave in the jet stream. Highs will be around 23. Northeast winds by this evening could bring lake-effect snow showers for the North Shore,

but chances today are about 20 percent.

On Friday, we'll have a 40 percent chance of seeing lake-effect snow develop as the wind continues out of the east at 5-10 mph. Expect overcast skies and highs near 29.

A low pressure system will approach from the west on Saturday, bringing southerly winds and highs near 40. Rain showers are possible early, with sleet and snow later in the day. There's a 40 percent chance of precipitation with plenty of clouds throughout the day.

Sunday temperatures will still be above average with lows near 28 and highs near 38. Another strong low pressure system is approaching and will continue the southerly flow. I'm not expecting precipitation on Sunday, just mostly cloudy skies. But Monday we'll have a 40 percent chance of rain and temperatures in the low 40s.

Make it a great day!
