The College of St. Scholastica will hold its fifth annual Give to CSS Day on Thursday.

The event allows St. Scholastica supporters, locally and from around the globe, to make online donations for a 24-hour period to directly support current programs and opportunities that benefit the school’s student population. Money raised by the campaign will be matched from a pool of money that has been secured from previous donors.

Last year the campaign raised more than $100,000, which organizers hope to top this year.

In a news release, John Labosky, St. Scholastica’s vice president of college advancement said the college has heard from alumni around the world who “take great pride in being able to support CSS on this special day.”

Donations will help support classroom equipment and financial aid, as well as operating expenses.

This is the school’s 105th academic year and enrollment is at an all-time high at nearly 4,400 students. The need for financial support has risen with enrollment.
