There is a chance of thunderstorms across the Northland this afternoon and evening, and some of the storms may be strong.
The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center forecasts a slight risk for severe thunderstorms today and tonight across much of Northeastern Minnesota. Strong winds and hail are the main threats from any storms that develop.
High temperatures today should reach the mid 80s, with lows in the mid 50s tonight.
On Saturday - Grandma's Marathon race day - expect a slight chance for thunderstorms, with highs in the upper 70s and light winds.
