A 17-year-old boy is being held in the Arrowhead Juvenile Center accused of robbing a sandwich shop delivery driver at gunpoint Tuesday night in West Duluth.
The teenager is being held on preliminary felony charges of first-degree aggravated robbery and second-degree assault.
Preliminary investigative reports by Duluth police indicate that the victim was working for Erbert & Gerbert's Subs & Clubs and was making a delivery when a young male approached him, showed him a gun and demanded money.
The delivery person refused to give him money and the suspect ran. A short time later a telephone caller reported seeing a male matching the description of the suspect running toward the Super One grocery store at 5800 Bristol St. Officers set up a perimeter and began evacuating the store.
The suspect was running inside the store when officers advanced and took him into custody.
