The annual Duluth-Superior Symphony Ball was held recently at the Kitchi Gammi Club and attended by approximately 185 people, including Nancy and Bill Young, right. This year's event raised more than $38,000 for the Duluth-Superior Symphony Association, besting last year's total of just under $30,000, said Kay Biga, who chaired the ball this year. The event helps fund the symphony performances and its educational programs, the costs of which are not covered by concert ticket prices. Donations and corporate sponsorships made this year's ball such a successful fund-raiser, she said.
