Cari Swanson and Kyle Rizzi, both of Duluth, plan to be married Aug. 8 in Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth.
Her parents are Jeff Swanson of Hermantown and the late Debbie Swanson. His parents are Steve and Signe Rizzi of Austin, Minn.
The future bride, a 2004 graduate of Hermantown High School, graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Mary's Children's Hospital in Duluth.
The future groom, a 2003 graduate of Austin High School, graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in biology and is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He is a pharmacy technician for SMDC Health System in Duluth.
