Kolenda is currently a sophomore forward for the Niagara University Purple Eagles.

The Panthers development camp is an annual weeklong summer session with on- and off-ice workouts designed to help Panthers prospects improve their games and allow the team to evaluate their progress.

"I am very thankful to the Florida Panthers organization for this opportunity," Kolenda said. "It is something that I have been working toward my whole hockey career."

In his first season as a Purple Eagle, Kolenda saw action in 35 games as Niagara won the regular-season Atlantic Hockey title and earned an NCAA tournament bid. Kolenda was second among rookies on the team in goals (five) and points (13), and was tied for tops among freshmen with eight assists. He finished the season with a plus-one and with 73 shots on goal.
