Living North niche publications manager Leslee LeRoux will become publisher of the Superior Daily Telegram Oct. 1.
She will replace Ken Browall, who will become general manager for the area community publications owned by Forum Communications. Forum owns the Duluth News Tribune, the Telegram, Budgeteer, and newspapers in Two Harbors and Cloquet.
"She is uniquely qualified to become publisher," Browall said of LeRoux, noting that she worked twice at the Telegram as a reporter and once as editor. She also lives in and is active in the community.
LeRoux has been publications manager for Living North, a bi-monthly magazine of the News Tribune, for about two years. During her time there, the magazine's content and revenue improved, Browall said.
"As the content has improved, the revenue followed," he said. "That's what we want to do with the Telegram."

Declining revenue is one reason the Telegram will stop publishing an afternoon paper daily Monday through Saturday on Sept. 27. Beginning Oct. 1, the Telegram will publish a printed paper on Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as concentrating on its Web site.
"We're looking forward to working with Leslee and her team" integrating their content into the Duluth News Tribune, News Tribune executive editor Rob Karwath said.
