Grand Rapids native John Heitzman of Superior won Sunday's Thunder Bay (Ontario) Half Marathon to lead a field of 419. He was first in 1 hour, 9 minutes, 19 seconds and Corey Gallagher of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was second in 1:12:35.
Josiane Aboungono of North York, Ontario, won the women's division in 1:23:09 and Heitzman's wife, Ariel, was second in 1:25:52.
