Superior city councilor waives preliminary hearing

Superior City Councilor Graham Garfield appeared in Douglas County Circuit Court on Wednesday on felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly pointing a loaded firearm at his fiancee during a domestic incident last month.
Garfield waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over for arraignment on May 26. Garfield's attorney said his client declined to comment on the charges on Wednesday.
Garfield announced Tuesday that he does not plan to resign from the council, despite calls for him to do so.
