Duluth school district superintendent Keith Dixon will make his state of the district address at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the board room at the central administration building located at Historic Old Central High School.
Dixon will touch on the district's progress toward high achievement for all students, effective and efficient systems and safe and comfortable environments for students and staff, according to Katie Kaufman, public relations director for the district.
Specifics, including student performance on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment II test and graduation rates, will be outlined to illustrate how the district is working to meet each goal.
Dixon will also address the district's long-range facilities plan, as it relates to efforts to create efficient and effective sys-tems, like quality schools, throughout the district.
Following the address, district officials will hold a committee of the whole meeting to kickoff the district's budget process.
